There I was – bone tired, hormonal, and heavier than I had ever been. It was after the birth of my third child and no matter what I did, I just couldn’t seem to catch my stride. Chasing two kids, a brand new baby the left over pounds from each pregnancy were heavy and weighing me down. I couldn’t sleep. I didn’t look good. I didn’t feel good. I felt miserable.
I simply couldn’t keep up.
Desperate to do something to get the weight off, I turned my old standbys crash dieting and whatever the latest weight loss fad was. But I knew that even though those unpleasant techniques might get me a quick result, the long-term outcome would not be good. I knew from experience that the pounds would eventually find me again.

I was confident that I was going to be able to make it work in between feeding the baby and getting my older kids to school, dance and all their other activities.

I’m currently down 45 pounds and my clothing size is half of what it used to be – I was a size 16 and now I’m a size 8!
And get this, I went swimsuit shopping – and I liked it! I am actually looking forward to wearing that suit and enjoying summer, which is a fantastic feeling. But what I think is the most important thing is that I know I’m now modeling a healthy and happy lifestyle for my kids. Today I am happily keeping up with all of the pieces of my wonderful life and that is the best feeling of all!
